Family Doctor or Pediatrician?

Many parents wonder which is better for their baby and child: a family doctor or a pediatrician?

I myself take my daughter to a Pediatrician. I like the social time with meeting other parents of babies and I feel like the doctor and nurses are more trained in dealing with babies and children.
